Frances M. BOESE, 84, of Mount Pleasant, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa.

Frances M. BOESE

Frances M. BOESE, 84, of Mount Pleasant, died Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.

A celebration of life is at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland, with the Rev. Earl Swigart officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery in rural Wayland (note: in Henry County, IA).

Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Wayland; family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m.

A memorial fund has been established for the Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.

Ms. BOESE was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Ocie BLACK BOESE.

She was a member of the Lockridge Baptist Church.

While living at Jefferson County Care Facility, she worked at Tempco assembling products.

She enjoyed listening to music, especially country western music, knitting and crocheting.

Survivors include one son, Leonard L. BOESE of Mount Pleasant; and one sister, Dorothy BARTHOLOMEW of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marleye KAYE; two sisters, Mildred BOESE and Edith NORDYKE; and four brothers, Howard, Arthur, Dale and Alfred BOESE.
