Christopher L. THOMPSON, 50, of Milton, died at 12:24 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren Hospice in Keosauqua.
A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Carl Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.
Visitation opens at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with family present 4-6 p.m.
Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to 201 N. Van Buren St., Milton 52570.
Mr. THOMPSON was born April 1, 1962, in Moline, Ill., the son of Curtis and Bonnie WHITE THOMPSON. He marryed Sheryl HUSTON, Sept. 7, 1995, in Rock Island.
He grew up in the Quad-Cities and graduated from Moline High School.
He and his wife lived in Stockport and Cantril, and for the past 16 years in Milton.
He as a self-employed metal recycler and opened his salvage yard in Milton in 2009. He also had worked at Bloomfield Sale Barn, and raised and trained exotic animals, which he sold across the United States.
He had attended Stockport Christian Church and God's Way Center in Milton.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryl; two stepsons, Samuel CRANE and spouse Barbara, of Kansas City, Mo., and Bryan CRANE of Davenport; one stepdaughter, Melissa STRONG and spouse Keith, of Walcott; sevel stepgrandchildren; his mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Carl FAULKNER; and two stepsisters, Glenda BRAGG and Carla KOPECK.
His father preceded him in death.
