Teresa M. Knox, 45, of Washing, formerly of Eldon, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m today at Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon, with the Rev. John Cooper officiating. Burial of the cremains will be held at a later date.

The family will be present to greet friends at 6 p.m until the service today at the funeral home.

A memorial fund has been established in her son Corys name.

Mrs. Knox was born July 4, 1958, in Ottumwa, the daughter of William and Nina Saner Knox.

She was raised and educated in Eldon, graduating from Cardinal High School in 1976. She was previously employed at Wal-Mart and Target in Ottumwa and later by General Mills in Iowa City.

Survivors include one son Cory Heminger of Washington; three sisters, Norma Ragen and Lovey Ragen, both of Eldon and Sherri Knox of Mount Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
