Dolores A. BROWN, 76, of Birmingham died today, Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Dolores Agnes BROWN

Dolores Agnes BROWN, 76, of Birmingham, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Steven C. Page officiating. Burial will be at Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.

Visitation for family and friends is from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday with prayers for a Christian wake to follow at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Diabetes's (sic) Association. Cards and memorials can be mailed to 210 N. Highway 1, Birmingham 52535.

Mrs. BROWN was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Salem, the daughter of Joseph and Anna ZUMDOME MOELLER. She married Donald D. BROWN April 18, 1959.

She was raised in the St. Paul area and graduated from St. James High School in St. Paul.

She was a home health aide for 10 years and a teacher aide for special needs children for two years.

Her hobbies and interests included the American Legion Auxiliary, Birmingham Red Hats, going to the casinos to play slot machines and attending auctions.

Survivors include her husband Donald D. BROWN of Birmingham; one daughter Julie LUDWIG and spouse David of Farmington; four sons: Jim BROWN and spouse Kibby of Puyallup, Wash., Jerry BROWN of St. Paul, Minn., John BROWN and spouse Vicki of Stockport and Jack BROWN and spouse Deborah of Mound, Minn.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia BONSER of Alta Loma, Calif., Mary Jo HORRAS of Richland and Virginia SCHWARTZ of West Point; and one brother Alfred MOELLER of Kanas City (sic), Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
