Guy W. FRANKLIN

Guy W. FRANKLIN, 78, of 404 S. Fourth St., died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at St. Joseph Medical Center of Stockton, Calif.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. Burial will follow at the Brethern (sic - Brethren) Cemetery near Libertyville. Family visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

The son of William and Ruth Lenora DAVISON FRANKLIN, he was born in Jefferson County on Jan. 21, 1921. He married R. Jeanette DIMMITT at Portland, Ore., on Aug. 13, 1949. He lived most of his life in Fairfield, and was retired from Louden's ACCO Chain Co. after 35 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he served on the Eastern Front during World War II. He was a member of the Fairfield American Legion post.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sherry RAINS of Birmingham; six sisters, Maxine ENGLEHART and Thelma HUMPHREY, both of Lodi, Calif., and Leola DODGE, Bettie MINOR, Darlene REALON and Nancy ANCHETALL, all of Stockton, Calif.; three brothers, Gerald of El Camino, Calif., Merell of Des Moines and Don of Winfield; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Warner, Lonnie and Paul; and a sister, Daisy Elizabeth JORGENSON.
