Susan EWART WILSON

Susan EWART WILSON, 68, of Hampton Roads, Va., and formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013.

Memorials may be made to Fairfield Public Library children's section.

Chesapeake Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., in Chesapeaske, Va., handled arrangements.

Mrs. WILSON was the daughter of Dauphin "Daugh" EWART and Ruth EWART.

She graduated from Fairfield High School and attended Parsons College in Fairfield. She earned a bachelor of science degree in education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.

She taught in Hampton Roads public school system until her retirement.

Survivors include one son, Gary COOKSEY and his spouse Karen of Chesapeake, Va.; one daughter, Cynthia COOKSEY and her spouse Murray of Sedley, Va., one brother, Ned EWART of Kempher, Texas; and three grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her mother's maiden name is given as EMPTING. She was married twice, her second husband Kenneth H. WILSON, Jr., preceding her in death.
