COX rites

Howard A. COX, 72, Ottuwma died Saturday at 4:45 p.m. at his home, 913 Albia Road.

The service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Hugh McGinley officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

The son of Earnest T. and Lilly Mae HARRISON COX, he was born Feb. 9, 1908 in Bethany, Mo. He was graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1925 and attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. He was an insurance salesman for over 45 years. He worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company, Monarch Life Insurance Company and Cancer America Insurance Company.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 347.

He married Beatrice E. BERG of Fairfield Aug. 30, 1947. She survives.

Also surviving is one son, William T. COX, Ottumwa; two daughters, Colleen DAVIS, and Sue Ann HARDING, both of Torrence, Calif., and four grandchildren.

Memorials are to the Elks Lodge No. 347 or the Heart Fund.
