HALLBERG Rites Set

Mrs. Harold HALLBERG, 73, 405 W. Kirkwood, died at 2:15 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been admitted Tuesday. Her death was caused by a stroke.

Last rites will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Evelyn May HALLBERG was born May 5, 1900, in Fairfield. She was the daughter of Sanford and Ella BOWER ZEIGLER. Mrs. HALLBERG was reared and educated in Fairfield, attended Parsons College and graduated from the Iowa Success School at Ottumwa.

Her marriage to Harold W. HALLBERG took place Oct. 30, 1926, in Ottumwa. He operated a hatchery in Fairfield for a number of years before his death April 18, 1953.

Mrs. HALLBERG was a member of the United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star No. 39.

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond G., Fairfield, and Clarence R., Des Moines; three sisters, Ariel ZEIGLER, Mrs. A. H. SINGLEY and Mrs. W. B. GRIFFIN Jr., all of Fairfield. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. HALLBERG was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

LOCALS

--Mrs. Raymond OLAFSON returned to her home Friday after having been called here because of the sudden death of her aunt, Mrs. Harold HALLBERG. Dr. OLAFSON was unable to accompany Marcia. Their children, Elizabeth, Peter and Alexander remained at home with their father in Atlanta, Ga. While here, Marcia stayed with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. GRIFFIN Jr., 54 S. Park.
