Mrs. BUCHANAN Dies In Texas

Last rites for Mr. (sic - Mrs.) G.R. (Hazel) BUCHANAN, mother of Col. Dale BUCHANAN, 400 E. Pierce, were held today at 2 p.m., at Amarillo, Texas, where she and her husband formerly lived. Mrs. BUCHANAN died Monday afternoon in Slaton, Texas. She had been ill for some time.

Col. and Mrs. BUCHANAN left Wednesday morning by plane for last rites. They expect to return on Saturday.

Mrs. BUCHANAN is survived by her husband, three sons, Dale of Fairfield, Paul of Slaton, Texas, and Gene of Bethelehem, Pa., seven grandchildren, including Mrs. Dennis BECKER, Route 1, and several great-grandchildren.

The family would appreciate memorials to the Jefferson County Cancer Fund or the Fairfield Public Library.
