Ross HODSON, 70, Dies Suddenly

BRIGHTON - Ross HODSON, 70 died suddenly at 7 a.m. today at his home in Brighton.

The body is at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. Last rites have been tentatively set for Tuesday afternoon.

HODSON, a retired farmer, had spent all his life in the Brighton and Pleasant Plain area. He moved to Brighton six years ago.

Ross HODSON was born March 20, 1902, on a farm south of Pleasant Plain. He was the son of Jonathan and Bertha McMURRY HODSON. His marriage to Louis (sic - A. Louise) McCLINTOCK took place Jan. 28, 1948.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Esther MORGAN. Brighton, along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Admin. note: Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton (Washington Co.), IA. Wife Louise died in 1986 and is buried with him.
