Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham.

Ruth Arlene BROWN

Ruth Arlene BROWN, 91, formerly of Stockport, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, in Eolia, Mo.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Heritage Event Center in Stockport, with the Rev. Jason Mott officiating. Interment will be in Spencer Cemetery, northeast of Stockport.

Visitation with the family present will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the center.

Memorials may be made to Stockport Christian Church and sent to 419 North Main, Stockport 52651; The Union Park Grace Fellowship Church at 832 Grandview Ave., Des Moines 50316 or Family Community Church and sent to No. 8 Oakley Plaza, Troy, MO 63379. Arrangements are in the care of the Raymond Funeral Home of Fairfield and Birmingham.

Mrs. BROWN was born May 28, 1921, in Fairfield, the daughter of Vern and Lora NELSON BRADFIELD. She married Paul La Verne Dec. 30, 1940, at the Christian church parsonage in Keosauqua.

Mrs. BROWN lived in Packwood in her younger years. She and her family later moved to Stockport, where she graduated from Stockport High School.

She was a homemaker.

She was a lifelong member of the Stockport Christian Church. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Stockport.

Survivors include her seven children, Keith BROWN and wife Carol of Rochster, N.Y., Kermit BROWN of Farmington, Karly ADAM and spouse Donald of Eolia, Mo., Karen WELLS and spouse Larry of Des Moines, Kent BROWN and spouse Susan of Des Moines, Kristine CASS and spouse Larry of Stockport and Kevin BROWN and wife Marjorie of Blue Springs, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Kenneth BROWN; five siblings, Clarice BRADFIELD, Aura KELLER, Emily LAIR, Lorna Jean THOMPSON and Edra BRADFIELD; one granddaughter; and two great-great-grandsons.

The family received friends Sunday at Heritage Event Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul; her parents; one son, Kenneth BROWN; one granddaughter; two great-great-grandsons; one daughter-in-law Darlene BROWN; and five siblings, Clarice BRADFIELD, Aura KELLER, Emily LAIR, Lorna Jean THOMPSON and Edra BRADFIELD.
