Annette J. TEDROW, 73, of Mesa, Ariz., died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, Ariz.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.

Annette Jane TEDROW

Annete Jane TEDROW, 73, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Douds, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in Hospice of the Valley in Gilbert, Ariz.

A graveside service is 2 p.m. Sunday in Leando Cemetery, Douds.

Family and friends will gather at 1 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds prior to the service. The casket will remain closed.

Memorials to Leando Cemetery may be left at the funeral home, the service or mailed to the family at 11519 East Kiowa Ave., Mesa, AZ 85209.

Mrs. TEDROW was born April 23, 1939, in Douds the daughter of Emmett and Mary HUMPHREY WILEY. She married Joe TEDROW Dec. 7, 1956.

She graduated from Douds-Leando High School in 1956.

She attended Iowa Success School of Business in Ottumwa and earned her associate of arts degree in 1981 from Van Nuys Junior College in Van Nuys, Calif.

The TEDROWs lived in Fairfield, moved to California in 1962 and retired to Mesa in 2000.

She worked for a stock brokerage firm and was assistant to the dean of the School of Film & Video at California Institute of the Arts which was started by Walt Disney and was part of Disney's Imagineering's Electronic/Mechanical Engineering Group.

She made quilts, which were donated to various charities.

She had been a Girl Scout leader and had been a member of Girl Scouts in Douds.

She maintained her membership in John Hyson Reneker Unit No. 494, American Legion Auxiliary in Douds.

She was active in the Lutheran Church in California and Arizona.

She had belonged to the Methodist Youth Fellowship in Douds.

She supported her children in various youth groups and activities.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Kathleen BEAN and spouse Brian of San Francisco; a son, Jerry TEDROW and spouse Suzanne of Gilbert; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
