WAGNER rites

Robert H. WAGNER, 69, formerly of 608 W. Stone St., died Tuesday evening at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He had been living at the Veterans home in Marshalltown.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Pittsburg Cemetery. Friends may call beginning at 7:30 tonight.

Wagner was born Sept. 12, 1917 in Texas, the son of Hugh and Gertrude STANSBARY WAGNER. He married Ruby LEWMAN Dec. 23, 1951 at Beaumont, Texas. She died in 1977. He later married Virginia BEEMAN, who died in 1986.

Surviving are three stepsons, Sherman MILLER of Fairfield, Edward and Ernest SNELL, both in California; three stepdaughters, Patricia WELCH in California, Wanda ROSS of Fairfield, Alice CAVINESS of Milton, and several brothers and sisters in Texas.

He was a retired employee of Iowa Malleable Iron Company and a World War II veteran.
