Warren I. MILLS

Warren I. MILLS, 60, Batavia, died at 10:05 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 1998, at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at People's Church north of Batavia with the Rev. Jack Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery. Open visitation will begin at noon Tuesday with family present from 7-8 p.m. at Kremer Funeral Home in Batavia. A memorial fund has been established.

Mr. MILLS was born June 22, 1937, in Mount Pleasant to Iliff S. and Ruby Ann HARRISON MILLS. He married Joann PRATT Feb. 8, 1978, in Batavia.

Mr. MILLS was raised in Lockridge and attended the Lockridge schools. He had farmed in the Batavia area his entire life. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Iowa Corn Growers Association.

Survivors include his wife; his parents of Mount Pleasant; five sons, DeWayne, James and Michael, all of Davenport, Jeffrey of Byers, Colo., and Jerry of Blue Grass; one stepdaughter, Tina KINGERY of Batavia; and one stepson, Tim DOWNING of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; one brother, Edward of Reminghton (sic - Reventon?), N.M.; and two sisters, Sharon RHUM of Mount Pleasant and Mary McDOWELL of Cedar Rapids.
