John ELLMAKER rites Friday

Services for John Blake ELLMAKER, 81, former Fairfield resident who died at 9 a.m. Monday at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Cemetery, Ottumwa. The family will receive friends in the community room of the church Friday from 1 p.m. until the service begins. Friends may call after noon Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home.

ELLMAKER was born Sept. 22, 1906 at Denver, Colo., the son of John M. and Albertina SCHEIWE ELLMAKER. He received engineering degrees from Purdue University and Ohio State University. He married Pauline TROUT Sept. 26, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio. She died Dec. 19, 1978. They lived in Columbus, and Bakersfield, Calif., before moving to Jefferson County in 1948. They farmed north of Fairfield until moving to Fairfield in 1968. He was a member of First Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, John T. of Denver, Colo., Frederick B. of Ames; a daughter, Sarah RUSHING of Lampasas, Texas, and five grandchildren.
