Naomi Mae BOLDEN

Naomi Mae BOLDEN, 87, of Marion, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, following a long illness.

A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.

Visitation is at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday, the hour immediately preceding the service.

Memorials in her name may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Eastern Iowa, East Central Iowa Chapter, 317 Seventh Ave., SE, Suite 402, Cedar Rapids 52401.

Mrs. BOLDEN was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Crawford County, Wis. She married Richard J. "R J" BOLDEN Oct. 9, 1946, in La Crosse, Wis.

Together they raised five children.

For more than 40 years, the couple worked together building their business, Marion Brush Manufacturing Co. She handled the office work.

In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed traveling, camping, snowmobiling and baking.

She was a member of Marion Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda KUENNEN and spouse Bill of Cedar Rapids, and Rhonda HAMMES and spouse John of Fairfield; three sons, Jim BOLDEN of Cedar Rapids, Gary BOLDEN and spouse Cheri of Marion, and Shawn BOLDEN of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bessie ORNESS of Marion and Sherry HARTELT of Mount Vernon.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
