John 'Jack' COUGHLIN

John "Jack" COUGHLIN, 73, Route 1, died at 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 1994, at Veterans Medical Center in Iowa City.

The body was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church and the Lord's Cupboard.

COUGHLIN was born June 15, 1920, in Springfield, Mass., the son of John and Simone SICARD COUGHLIN. He married Geraldine STOOPS. He had lived in the Fairfield community for approximately one year and before that in Miami. A nurseryman, he owned two tropical plant nurseries, which he had operated for 20 years. He was a member of the Perrine Peters United Methodist Church in Miami, the Nurseryman's Association of South Florida, and American Legion in Stockport.

Surviving are his wife; a son, John of Springfield, Mass.; a daughter, Theresa SEELEY of Medfield, Mass.; three granddaughters; and a brother, Raymond of Houma, La. His parents and a brother, Robert, preceded him in death.
