Fern GRANT

BLOOMFIELD: Fern GRANT, 104, of Bloomfield, Iowa died November 15, 2012 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born September 2, 1908 near Bloomfield to Hardy and Hettie KRATZER RICHARDSON. She married Glenn GRANT on May 14, 1927 in Bloomfield. He preceded her in death September 9, 1981. Fern was a homemaker and worked for the Fairfield School District for several years.

She is survived by two grandsons, Perry GRANT of La Claire (sic - Le Claire), Iowa, Pat GRANT of Fulton, Maryland; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, William "Bill" GRANT; a brother Glen RICHARDSON; and a sister, Belle PREVO.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor DeWayne Lawson officiating. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Care Center and may be mailed to: Bloomfield Care Center, 800 N. Davis St., Bloomfield, Iowa 52537.
