Roy SIX rites on Tuesday

Roy O. SIX, 64, native of Fairfield, died at 8:05 p.m. Saturday at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient for three days. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Kincaid will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Roy was employed in the maintenance department at the International Livestock and Equipment Co. for 31 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, a member of the First Christian Church and the American Legion. The family home is at 503 S. Third.

Roy O. SIX was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Fairfield, the son of George Loren and Mary Elva STARK SIX. His marriage to C. Irene SAUER took place Sept. 21, 1946, in Waterloo. She survives.

In addition to his widow, Six is survived by a son, Douglas R. SIX, Fairfield; a step-daughter, Nancy L. GLICK, Denton, Texas; and seven grand-children.

He is also survived by two brothers, John and Kenneth SIX, both of Fairfield; and two sisters, Clara DAUB and Hilda WADE, also both of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
