Roy E. WORLEY Dies Suddenly
Roy E. Worley, 67, retired farmer, died suddenly Friday afternoon at his home at 800½ S. Fourth street. His death was caused by a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist church. Dr. J. Henry Teele will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Worley had been a resident of Jefferson county for 45 years. He moved to Fairfield three years ago. He was born Dec. 3, 1892 in Illinois, the son of Willis and E--tella (sic - Estella) GREEN WORLEY. He was married to Florence CHARLTON Oct. 16, 1915. She preceded him in death Feb. 13, 1956.
WORLEY is survived by two children, Arthur E. WORLEY, Fairfield, Route 3, and Mrs. Kathryn (sic - Katheryn) BOOTH, Batavia Route 1. Also surviving are four grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. W. C. THOMPSON, Davenport; and Mrs. Victor WILLKIE, Macomb, Ill.
WORLEY was a member of the Methodist church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a director of the Jefferson County Mutual Insurance Co.
Two infant sons preceded him in death.
