DEATH OF MRS. SNOW.

Beatrice HOPKIRK, wife of the late Birney W. SNOW, died in this city Thursday, after a protracted illness and much suffering. She was born in Lockridge township June 21, 1845, and grew to womanhood there. She was married June 11, 1881, and removed to Spirit Lake and resided there until the death of her husband June 16, 1884. Returning to Lockridge, she lived with her mother, brother and sister in the old home. In October, 1902, with her sister, Mrs. Isabel (sic. a/k/a Isabelle) SAMPSON, she removed to this city. A friend says of her: "Mrs. SNOW was a noble type of womanhood. She was a quiet and undemonstrative person whose life was spent in helpfulness to those about her. There are many in the vicinity of her old home at Lockridge who will hold her in grateful remembrance for her timely aid. In her home kindliness and considerate regard for others was her constant
habit. She seemed literally to follow in the footsteps of Him who, when on earth, "went about doing good."

Admin. note: Buried in Lockridge Cemetery with husband Birney.
