Helen E. HARBISON, 94, of Kirksville, Mo., and formerly of Richland, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Kirksville Manor Care in Kirksville.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home Richland.

Helen E. HARBISON

Helen E. HARBISON, 94, of Kirksville, Mo. and formerly of Richland, died early Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Kirksville Manor Care in Kirksville.

A funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating.

Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 10-11 a.m. Monday, immediately before the funeral.

Memorials for the Richland Library may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1501 E. Jefferson St., Kirksville, MO 63501.

Mrs. HARBISON was born near Clay in Washington County, Dec. 3, 1917, the daughter of Earl Clayton and Carrie Belle SEATON DICKINSON. She married Jesse D. HARBISON Sept. 22, 1945, in West Branch. He died Feb. 20, 1995.

She grew up near Richland, graduated from Richland High School in 1935 and later attended Parsons College where she earned her teaching certificate.

She taught school in Rubio and was a farm homemaker near Richland for most of her life.

She attended Richland United Methodist Church, was a member of the Richland United Methodist Women, Clay Club and helped deliver senior meals for several years.

She moved to Kirksville a few years ago to be near her daughter.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy FUGATE and spouse Jim of Davenport, and Lynne HARBISON of Kirksville; one son, Jim HARBISON and spouse Marlene of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Raymond DICKINSON of Richland.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Edith DICKINSON.
