La Rue L. WELDAY, 93, of Hiawatha, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Hiawatha Care Center.
A private graveside service was held at Fell Cemetery near Libertyville.
Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, and may be mailed to Raymond Funeral Home at 112 West Burlington Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Ms. WELDAY was born Aug. 29, 1919 in Moulton, the daughter of Charles and Tella ELLIOTT. She married James Wales WELDAY Jr., of Fairfield, May 3, 1941 at the First Lutheran Church in Alexandria, La.
Ms. WELDAY graduated from Ottumwa High School.
She was a resident of Cedar Rapids for 50 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie WELDAY of Houston, Texas; one son, Jim WELDAY of Yuma, Ariz.; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
