Delmar Dale ROSS

Delmar Dale ROSS, 75, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday evening, Nov. 12, 2012, at the Great River Hospice House.

A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheral Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Michael Scudder officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Visitation with family present will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Faith Lutheran Church, Great River Hospice, and Hope Haven.

Honts Funeral Home in Winfield is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. ROSS was born March 2, 1937 in Olds, the son of Leslie and Carlotha MESSER ROSS. He married Janette CRILE March 3, 1963, in Germanville,

Mr. ROSS graduated from Olds Consolidated School in 1955.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962 in Germany.

He worked at Chanen Auto Supply, Southeast Iowa REC, operated Ross Electric and worked at Pioneer Seeds before retiring.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mount Pleasant.

Survivors include his wife; two daughers, Jodi VANTIGER and spouse John of Mount Union; Angela WINSLOW and spouse Doug of Downers Grove, Ill.; one brother, Roy ROSS; and one sister, Florence SMITH all of Mount Pleasant; three grandchildren; and one stepgrandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lois ROTH and Helen SCHAEFFER; and one infant brother.
