Death Comes To Frank A. PACHA

BRIGHTON - Frank A. PACHA, 86, lifelong resident of Jefferson County, died Sunday at the Washington County Long Term Care Center in Washington. He had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Francis Bass in charge. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery at East Pleasant Plain. The rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Gould Funeral home in Brighton.

PACHA was born Dec. 15, 1886 in Jefferson County, the son of Frank and Mary BENDA PACHA. He was married to Bertha C. FRITZ on April 16, 1912. She died March 1, 1951.

PACHA was a member of St. Joseph Church at East Pleasant Plain and a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from farming 15 years ago. He was a school board member for several years.

He is survived by three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Raymond (Lucille) DAY of Eldridge, Mrs. Harold (Rita) DAY of Davenport, Mrs. Curtis (Kathleen) VASEN of Davenport, James F. PACHA of Long Grove and Cletus E. PACHA of Richland; 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert PACHA of East Pleasant Plain and John PACHA of Brighton; and one sister, Mrs. Mary YATES of East Pleasant Plain. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, four sisters and two brothers.
