Bud SMALL rite set Thursday

LIBERTYVILLE - The service for Radford "Bud" SMALL, 66, Libertyville, who died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 1988, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Shirley Meendering officating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery at Libertyville. Family visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society and Faith United Methodist Church at Libertyville.

SMALL was born May 9, 1922, in Croton, the son of Dayton and Alice SMITH SMALL. He married Bettye HEALD June 4, 1943, in Fairfield. She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Stephanie PATTON of Fairfield; four sons, Steve of Parker, Colo., Rick, Jeff and Brian, all of Fairfield and seven grandchildren. His parents and a brother, Parley, preceded him in death.

Retired, he had been a longtime farmer and inspector at the Iowa Ordinance Plant in Burlington. He was a member of the American Legion, Elks, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
