Russell G. STUMP

LIBERTYVILLE - Russell G. STUMP, 86, of rural Libertyville, died at 6:10 a.m. today, May 14, 1993, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Thomas Clark officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery. Open visitation begins at noon Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the Libertyville Community Center and the Trojan Booster Club.

STUMP was born Oct. 26, 1906, in rural Van Buren County, the son of Elsa Amaziah and Bertha TURNER STUMP. He married Florence E. HOWARD on Nov. 25, 1926. She died March 20, 1986. He was a farmer in Liberty Township all of his adult life and had worked as a fieldman for several years for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service office. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Gene and Robert, both of Libertyville; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Nellie KING of Inverness, Fla.

(I am of no direct relation. Son Gene (Eugene) married Karen Lou RODIBAUGH. I research the RODABAUGH/RODIBAUGH lineage.)
