R. BURNETT Rites Set

Roy C. BURNETT, 84, retired Libertyville community farmer, died Friday at 1 p.m. at the Parkview Care Center. He had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill the past week.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m., at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Interment will be in Bethesda Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

BURNETT was born Sept. 15, 1892 at Parsons, kan., the son of William and Martha GATTON BURNETT. On Dec. 23, 1919, he married Mary E. McCORMICK. She died Nov. 15, 1969.

He had lived in the Libertyville community for over 60 years. His farm home is located two miles north of Libertyville.

He is survived by one daughter and one son, Margery MANKINS of Des Moines and Herbert L. BURNETT, rural Libertyville; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren: one sister, Marie PONTIOUS of Parsons, Kan., and two brothers, Clarence BURNETT of Fairfield and William BURNETT of St. Paul, Kan.

He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter and two brothers.
