Mrs. BOWER Dies At 83

Mrs. Eva BOWER, 83, a longtime resident of Fairfield, died at 4:30 a.m. today at the Parkview Care Center. She had been seriously ill for a week.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Bergfalk officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. BOWER was born July 14, 1893 in Washington County, the daughter of Stanford A. and Ella McJUNKIN ANDERSON. She was married Feb. 25, 1914 to Floyd A. BOWER. He died Nov. 3, 1974.

Mrs. BOWER was a member of the DAR, the VFW Auxiliary and the First Baptist Church of Fairfield.

She is survived by the following children: Kathryn ALLENDER, Fairfield; Charlotte STEELE, Bloomfield; Frances ROLAND, Washington; and Lester BOWER, New Glarus, Wis.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one brother, Jakie ANDERSON, Oskaloosa. One son is deceased.
