Letha NELSON rites Thursday

Letha P. NELSON, 90, Parkview Care Center, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 at Jefferson County Hospital, where she had been a patient since Feb. 3.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Glass officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins. Memorials have been established to First Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs. NELSON was born May 13 1897 in Utica, the daughter of George and Lottie McCLAIN CUPP. She lived most of her adult life in Fairfield, was a member of First Christian Church, past commander of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of VFW Auxiliary. She married Allen B. NELSON may 1, 1923 in Ottumwa. He died may (sic) 11, 1969. A son and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Robert A. of Fairfield; two daughters, Joyce FISHER of Grand Rapids, Mich., Nancy BONAR of Royal Oaks, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
