Funeral services for Mrs. Lawrence ALLENDER, long time resident of the Lockridge community, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Lockridge Baptist church..... Burial will be in the Lockridge cemetery. Mrs. ALLENDER was born Nov. 10, 1883 at Lockridge. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Polly (KIRK) Smith. On July 2, 1902, she was united in marriage to Lawrence ALLENDER. Lived on a farm north of Lockridge for over 25 years, in the same community where she was born. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Otto HILDEBRAND of Lockridge, and three sons, George and Clarence ALLENDER of Fairfield, Lyzell E. of Mt. Pleasant, and one brother, William SMITH of Ottumwa. Six grandchildren also survive; Inez, Willis, and Everett HILDEBRAND, and Evelyn, Maurice and Wayne ALLENDER.
