Kelly Allen Lathrop, 27, of Richland, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, in his home.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home, with words of comfort from Guy Sammons.

No family visitation is planned. The register book signing began at 9 a.m. today and will continue until 7 tonight.

Memorials may be made to the Hailey Lathrop education fund.

Mr. Lathrop was born Oct. 24, 1976, in Fairfield, the son of Jack and Patricia Lathrop.

Mr. Lathrop lived his life in the Fairfield community. He was a 1995 graduate of Fairfield High School and drove a forklift for Hackert's in Richland. He had been a member of the Company C, 389th Engineer Combat Army Reserve in Middletown.

Survivors include his parents of Fairfield; one daughter, Hailey Lathrop of Fairfield; and one brother, Trever Lathrop of Iowa City.
