The Fairfield Ledger, May 29, 1901, page 3, col. 2. BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL. The remains of Mrs. Alice G. Hoagland were interred in this city Monday afternoon. Funeral services were hel at the Presbyterian church by Rev. J.F. Magill, assisted by Rev. Lewis Mendenhall. Deceased was the wife of William T. Hoagland and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Woodside. She was born in this county Feb. 19, 1863 and grew to womanhood here. She was married April 18, 1883. Her husband and one child, a daughter 12 years of age, survive her. Mrs. Hoagland died in Ottumwa, where the family had lived for several years, Saturday morning, from neuralgia of the heart. A committee from the Ottumwa Degree of Honor accompanied the body here.
