“O. C. Spalding died this morning at his home nine miles north of Fairfield. Funeral Fri. 2 p.m. McDowell Chapel. Bur. McDowell Cemetery. 76 years old April 29 1928. Son of Mr and Mrs Andrew Spalding. Survived by wife who was formerly Miss Rosella Gowey, and one son R. A. Spalding north of Fairfield. A son preceded him in death in 1903. He also leaves a sister and brother, Mrs. E. J. Sharp of Keota and Geo. Spalding of Nebr.”
