John PARSONS Rites Monday

John L. PARSONS, 70, native of Jefferson County, died Thursday at Schoitz hospital in Waterloo. He had been a resident of Waterloo for the past several years.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kearns-Dykman Chapel in Waterloo. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. in Union Cemetery in Round Prairie Township southeast of Fairfield (sic - Union Cemetery is in Lockridge Township, Section 31, east of Fairfield).

John L. PARSONS was born Sept. 30, 1907, at Fairfield. He was the son of James W. and Ada Belle FULTON PARSONS. His marriage to Mildred FARR took place Dec. 25, 1931, at Fairfield.

Parsons is survived by his widow and three sons: Wayne, South Bend, Ind.; David who lives at Dike and James at home. Six grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Admin. note: Wife Mildred's obituary gives her maiden name as MOODY, the daughter of LeRoy and Edythe MORROW MOODY. However, she also lists a surviving brother Rev. Robert FARR, so her mother Edythe was married at least twice.
