THOMPSON Succumbs

Clarence (Tommy) THOMPSON, 63, retired Fairfield businessman, died at 1:35 a.m. today at his home, 602 W. Burlington. He had been in failing health for several years.

Born June 30, 1914 at Corydon, he was the son of Lewis and Esther LACEY THOMPSON. On Sept. 3, 1937 he married Hazel M. HAHN at Cedar Rapids. He had owned and operated the Thompson refrigeration business for over 30 years.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Charles of Fairfield and Larry of Ottumwa; two daughters, Margaret MOSS and Alice PUDER, both of Fairfield; three brothers, Orville THOMPSON of Olathe, Kan., and Frederick of Sigourney. Two brothers preceded him in death.

Services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. J.E. Dorman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Admin. note: Buried in Lot 5th.101. Wife Hazel died in 2003 and is buried with him.
