Carolyn R. JACKSON

Carolyn R. JACKSON, 66, of Fairfield died Sept. 21, 2012, at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Jesse Hill officiating. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery in Davis County.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to People's Church in Batavia.

Ms. JACKSON was born May 20, 1946, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Vester E. and Velma GRAVETT WIMP. She married the Rev. Jack L. JACKSON Oct. 19, 1969.

She graduated from Davis County High School.

She was a member of People's Church in Batavia where her husband has served as pastor for the past 23 years.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jason JACKSON and wife Carrie of Grimes, Jeremy JACKSON and wife Keena of Des Moines and Brian JACKSON and wife Darci of Lone Tree; one sister, Sharon SHYPKOWSKI of Des Moines; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Connie TETMEYER.
