J. KANDLER dies at 68

Jean KANDLER, 68, former local resident, died Friday night at Sparks Medical Center at Fort Smith, Ark. She made her home in Fort Smith where she was a real estate developer.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Arrangements are in charge of the Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. KANDLER was born June 11, 1911 at Central City, Iowa, the daughter of John and Ethel JAYNE AUCKLAND. She was reared in Fairfield, graduating from the local high school in 1929. She attended Parsons and Cornell Colleges. She was employed at the Ledger for several years.

She was married to Rudolph KANDLER July 3, 1942. Surviving are one son, Paul KANDLER, LaHabra, Calif.; two brothers, David AUCKLAND, Midlothian, Ill., and Wallace AUCKLAND, San Pedro, Calif.; and two sisters, Jennifer BENNETT, Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Pat BROWN, Fairfield.

She was a member of United Methodist Church.
