“Mrs. Julia Rice died today. Spent her entire life on a farm four miles west of Pleasant Plain. She was born there Sept 23 1864, daughter of Jerry and Tempy Greeson Bray; married James E. Rice Oct 8 1890; he died Jan 23 1941. Member Howard Grove Baptist Church. Survived by one daughter, Ida Rice, at home. One daughter, one son, and eight brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Evergreen.”
