Monday, January 31, 1977Death Takes Mrs. DICKEY
Mrs. Sarah Myrtle DICKEY, 81, died at 10:30 a.m. today, Jan. 31 at Jefferson County Hosptial where she had been a patient since Jan. 22.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Harbour in charge. Interment will be in Packwood Cemetery.
Myrtle DICKEY, whose address was 309 1/2 W. Burlington, was born Nov. 22, 1895 near Cambridge, Ill., the daughter of Frank and Lu ANDERSON SIMONTON. She was reared and educated in Illinois and moved to the Farson community at age 11. Most of her adult life was spent around Packwood.
She married Scott Alva DICKEY on March 15, 1916 in Ottumwa. He and her sister preceded her in death. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Sew and So Club.
Surviving are two sons, Harold and Max, both of Packwood, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family would appreciate memorials to the Heart Fund.

Admin. note: In a cemetery reading done in 1973, she is referred to as Myrtle Sarah. Husband Scott died in 1961 and is also buried in Packwood Cemetery.
