Cherry C. STEWART

Cherry C. STEWART, 42, of Kingman, Ind., and formerly of Fairfield died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

The service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, Ind., with the Rev. William Lehman officiating. Burial will be in Rush Creek Cemetery in Tangier, Ind.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after noon Friday at Waterman Baptist Church. De Verter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Waterman Baptist Church, Rural Route 2, Box 170, Kingman, IN. 47952, toward the purchase of a new piano.

Mrs. Stewart was born July 3, 1959, in Fairfield, the daughter of Kenneth and Elaine DAVISSON CARR. She married Ken A. STEWART July 25, 1981 in Fairfield.

She was an accomplished pianist. At age 12, she accompanied religious services and was a hymn arranger. She graduated from Bob Jones Academy and received her bachelor of science degree from Bob Jones University of Greenville, S.C.

She taught at Christian school in Ottumwa and at Findlay, Ohio.

She was a member of the Waterman Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Joshua C. KINGMAN at home; one daughter, Lydia R. KINGMAN at home; her parents of Nyssa, Ore.; one brother, Jeff KINGMAN of Greenville, S.C.; one sister, Sylvia CHRISTY of Lormont, France; and maternal grandmother, Nellie DAVISSON of Indianola.
