Margaret BLIESE

Margaret PARRETT BLIESE, 84, of Kearney, Neb. and formerly of the Batavia area, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, in Kearney.

A funeral service and burial will be in Kearney.

Mrs. Bliese was born Sept. 21, 1913, in Batavia, the daughter of Ross L. and Emma NEHRE PARRETT. She married John BLIESE June 3, 1939, in Waterloo.

She was raised and educated in Batavia, graduating from the Batavia High School in 1931 and later from the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught elementary school in Batavia and Brighton for many years before moving to Kearney.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kearney and a member of the Kearney Audubon Society.

Survivors include her husband; a son, John of Lubbock, Texas; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and one brother, Donald PARRETT of Eldon.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Kenneth PARRETT.
