Thursday, October 15, 1914HOLISTER FUNERAL FRIDAY AFTERNOON
Mrs. Rhoda Jane HOLLISTER, sevety-four years of age, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter-in-law Mrs. Bessie HOLLISTER. She had been an invalid for two years and about three weeks ago suffered a stroke of paralysis.
Mrs. HOLLISTER was the daughter of Findley and Sarah BUWELL (sic - BURWELL), being one of a family of six. She was born May 19th, 1840, in Espyville, Pa., and was married to Manley (sic - Mandley) HOLLISTER at Cleveland, Ohio, in 1867.
In the same year they came to Iowa, settling on what is known as the Chatterton farm, south of Fairfield, where they remainded until moving to the Hollister farm in 1888.
The husband and two children have passed away, the husband in 1889, the son William Rainer in 1878, and Findley in 1912.
Mrs. HOLLISTER has been a faithful member of the Christian church since childhood. The funeral services will be from his residence Friday afternoon at three o'clock, being in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly.

Admin. note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot Old.P.068 with husband Mandley. She does not have a gravestone.
