ALTAFFER Rites At Red Oak

Word has been received here of the death of Maurice David ALTAFFER, 77, who died Aug. 9 at Murphy Memorial Hospital in Red Oak after an extended illness.

He was the husband of the former Harriett KILLION of the Fairfield community and has many friends in this area.

Funeral services were held Aug. 11 at Red Oak with burial in Evergreen Cemetery there.

ALTAFFER, who lived most of his life in the Pilot Grove community, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James F. ALTAFFER. His marriage to Harriett KILLION took place in 1958.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a stepdaughter, six step-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, one brother and three sisters.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and a World War I veteran.

The family home is located at 1210 Boundary, Red Oak, Iowa.
