Roy Jacob GRAF

Roy Jacob GRAF, 86, of 807 W. Taylor Ave., died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, March 16, 1997, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville with Steve Estrem officiating. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Hope Lutheran Church or the activity fund at Nelson Nursing Home.

Graf was born May 2, 1910, in Lockridge, the son of Charles John and Margaret POHREN GRAF. He was raised in the rural Lockridge area, farming on the family farm and as a hired hand in the Lockridge area.

Survivors include three sisters, Edith DIERS of Wayland, Marie VORHIES of Mount Pleasant and Mildred HILL of Washington, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Lester, Harlan and Glenn.
