Mrs. LEWIS Has Passed Away.

Mary J. MINTER, wife of Z. T. LEWIS, formerly recorder of Jefferson county, died at her home in this city Sunday evening from consumption. Deceased was a daughter of James M. MINTER, who now resides at Allen, Neb., and was in her thirtieth year. She was born and reared in this county, and was married December 1st, 1886. In the neighborhood in which the earlier portion of her life was spent she was very generally loved and respected, and within her circle of acquaintance in this city had many warm friendships. She was a woman of intelligence, of gentle disposition, and devoted to her home and family. Throughout a long and painful illness she bore her sufferings patiently and uncomplainingly. The sympathies of the community will go out to the stricken husband and two motherless children. The remains were interred in the Evergreen cemetery Tuesday, Rev. J. A. Boatman conducting the funeral services. Mr. LEWIS wishes to return his thanks to the neighbors and friends who rendered him so many kindly services during his wife's illness.
