Mrs. ESTES, 86, Taken In Death

Mrs. Cora Myrtle ESTES, 86, 911 S. Third St., died about 1 a.m. today at the Nelson Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. ESTES was born Sept. 30, 1884, in Indianapolis, Ind., the daughter of John and Cora HARVEY ADAMS. The family moved to Clinton, Ill., where she was reared and educated.

She was married March 22, 1910, to Frank MIKSCH. He preceded her in death July 27, 1927. In March of 1940 she was married to Oscar ESTES, who died Aug. 9 (sic - 26th), 1948.

Mrs. ESTES is survived by two children: Mrs. Don MARLEY, Fairfield; and Eugene MIKSCH, Packwood. Six grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. E. S. GARRIOTT, Clinton, Ill., also survive.

Mrs. ESTES was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Philathea Class, and the Women's Relief Corps. She was also a past noble grand of Rebekah Lodge No. 96. She did extensive knitting for the Red Cross during World War II.

Four brothers and four sisters are deceased.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Myrtle ESTES, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Myrtle ESTES Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 10th day of December, 1970, the last Will and Testament of Myrtle ESTES deceased bearing date of the 7th day of September, 1956, and Codicils thereto dated the 7th day of September, 1956, the 31st day of October, 1957, and the 13th day of November, 1957, was admitted to probate in the above named Court and that Eugene A. MIKSCH and Gladys E. MARLEY were appointed executors of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the Clerk of the above named District Court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.

Note: Buried in Lot 3rd.098 with first husband Frank MIKSCH. She was also married to and divorced from Alfred P. RODENMAYER - he would have been a second husband for her, and she his second wife. Her third husband, Oscar Alonzo ESTES, is buried in Packwood Cemetery.
