Thursday, January 13, 1977Rites Set For PARRETT
James D. PARRETT, 77, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at Parkview Care Center where he had been a patient for the past three years.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Ed Dorman in charge. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
PARRETT was born July 12, 1899 in Delavan, Ill., the son of William Berkert and Gertrude TROXELL PARRETT. He was reared and educated in Fairfield, and married Velma HOYLE on April 27, 1929. She preceded him in death on Oct. 16, 1972.
He was a former Dexter Company and J & B Plastices employe, and a member of the First Christian Church. He was a life member of the Elks lodge, of which he was a past exalted ruler.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis PIERCE of San Gabriel, Calif., and Mrs. Beverly PETERSON of Marion; two grandchildren;; one brother, Joseph of Pasadena, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret EIKENBERRY of Des Moines and Mrs. Mary RORICK of Martinez, Ga.
