H. MINEART Dies At 57

BRIGHTON - Howard J. MINEART, 57, died Tuesday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City. He had been in poor health for nine years. Funeral services are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

MINEART was born March 24, 1919 in Jefferson County, the son of Vincent and Nellie SUPALLA MINEART. In 1946, he married Doris WORLEY, who survives.

Also surviving are eight children, Dan of Pleasant Plain, Allan of Richland, Bill of Ottumwa, Nancy MINEART of Portland, Maine, Mrs. Larry (Linda) SLAUGHTER of Queens City, Mo., Mrs. Ron (Judy) NEUBAUER, Kathy and Bret, all of Fairfield; five grandchildren; three brothers, Charles of Fairfield, Joe of Pleasant Plain and Robert; two sisters, Mrs. Marian HUMSTON of Washington, Mrs. Lucille GODWIN of Iowa City and a stepmother, Mrs. Elizabeth MINEART of Pleasant Plain.

A carpenter, MINEART was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in E. Pleasant Plain and a veteran of World War I.
