Dale COX Dies At 58

Dale COX, 58, died suddenly somtime after 3:30 p.m. Monday in his car on the parking lot of Rockwell International plant on W. Stone Avenue.

He completed his shift at 3:30 p.m. and failed to return to his home at 910 N. Tenth at the usual time.

A search was conduceted and he was found in his car about 5 p.m.

Dr. C.F. Watson, county medical examiner, said COX died of natural causes. The body is at the Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lynn Bergfalk officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

COX was born Dec. 2, 1918 at Mercer, Mo., the son of Dewey and Ellen THOMAS COX. On May 11, 1941 he married Pauline CRAFTON at Lancaster, Mo. He lived in Jefferson and Wapello Counties most of his life. He was a World War II veteran and a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Donald E. of Boone; three grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey COX of Eldon, and one brother, Ray COX of Rockwell City. He was preceded in death by one brother.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. The body is at Behner Funeral Home.
